Software Test Analyst

P1vital Products Limited (PPL) is looking for a Software Test Analyst to work on the development of our innovative software products for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors to improve the treatment of mental health conditions.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Software Test Analyst to be part of a growing multi-functional team to manage the ongoing development, deployment, maintenance and support of this and other products in the PPL pipeline.

The Software Test Analyst primary responsibilities will be writing new test cases, maintaining of existing test cases, performing manual software testing (including UAT and regression testing), reporting defects, supporting the testing workstream.

With development and training, responsibilities would be expanded to include writing user requirement documents, requirements analysis and traceability, writing test plans, reviewing documentation, working with our software development team to resolve defects, writing summary and detailed end of test reports and release documentation.

– Write detailed test cases based on requirements
– Conduct manual testing of new software features and regression testing of the wider system
– Raise defects

Skills and expertise
– Graduate with Computer Science or equivalent degree (IIi or above) and/or a higher degree (desirable)
– 1-3 years’ experience of manual software testing (UAT & regression testing), including writing structured, detailed test cases based on software requirement specifications
– Any NHS, healthcare sector or regulated environment experience (desirable)
– Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
– Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
– High level of attention to detail and accuracy
– A logical thinker with creative problem-solving abilities
– Ability to work independently in a challenging environment
– Ability to work effectively with others
– Experience of testing web applications
– Advanced IT skills with MS office suite
– Any experience of documenting user requirements, maintaining requirement traceability, writing test plans & test reports (desirable)
– Experience in working with third party software vendors (desirable)
– Knowledge of testing applications on mobile devices (desirable)
